Intas Nayflee (Fipronil 0.25% w/v) Tick and Flea Spray for Dogs and Cats (100ml)
One bottle. Works on your dog. Works on your cat. Safe for puppies and kittens, even under 8 weeks.
Intas Nayflee fipronil spray for dogs and cats is a fast-acting ectoparasiticide spray that kills ticks, fleas, lice, and mites on contact across all life stages. Its active ingredient ā Fipronil 0.25% w/v ā spreads through the coat via the sebaceous glands after application, providing residual protection that lasts well beyond the day of treatment. One application, one bottle, for every pet in the household.
What sets Nayflee spray apart from most competing Fipronil sprays is its confirmed safety profile for very young animals. It is one of the few tick and flea sprays in India explicitly confirmed safe for puppies and kittens under 8 weeks of age ā an age group where most ectoparasiticide products have restrictions. It is also safe for use on pregnant and lactating dogs and cats.
(From NUVO ā A Division of Intas Pharmaceuticals Ltd., Ahmedabad, one of India's most trusted pharmaceutical companies. Manufactured by Intas Pharmaceuticals Ltd., Rudrapur, Uttarakhand. Available in a 100ml pump bottle.)
Note: Nayflee spray contains Fipronil only ā it does not contain an Insect Growth Regulator (IGR). For flea lifecycle ccontrolol including egg and larval stages, see Intas Nayflee Plus spot on for dogs or Intas Nayflee Plus spot on for cats.
What Is Intas Nayflee Spray Used for in Dogs and Cats?
Here is what Nayflee fipronil spray treats and prevents:
-
Tick control ā kills adult ticks on contact and provides residual protection that prevents reinfestation for weeks after application. Particularly relevant during India's monsoon season, when tick populations peak and outdoor pets face the highest exposure risk
-
Flea control ā kills adult fleas on contact and continues to protect as Fipronil is released from the sebaceous glands onto the coat surface. For flea lifecycle control that also kills eggs and larvae, Nayflee Plus spot on provides the additional IGR component
-
Lice control ā eliminates sucking and biting lice that cause coat damage, intense scratching, and skin inflammation in dogs and cats.
-
Mite control ā provides coverage against surface-dwelling mites that cause skin irritation and discomfort in pets.s
-
Flea allergy dermatitis management ā consistent monthly use helps manage flea allergy dermatitis in sensitive dogs and cats by preventing the flea exposure that triggers allergic reactions

How Does Fipronil Work on Parasites?
-
Nayflee spray uses Fipronil, a phenylpyrazole insecticide that kills parasites by blocking GABA-gated chloride channels in their nervous systems.
-
Blocking these channels causes uncontrolled nerve activity, leading to hyperexcitation, paralysis, and death of ticks, fleas, lice, and mites within hours of contact.
-
After application, Fipronil is absorbed into the coat and stored in the sebaceous glands of the skin, from where it is continuously released onto the coat surface over several weeks ā this reservoir effect is what provides residual protection beyond the day of application.
-
Because it is stored in the sebaceous glands rather than absorbed systemically into the bloodstream, it stays where external parasites live and feed ā on the skin and coat surface.
-
The spray format allows precise full-body application and dose control by bodyweight, making it particularly useful for very small dogs, puppies, kittens, and pets with dense or thick coats where spot-on distribution may be less effective.
How Do You Apply Nayflee Fipronil Spray Correctly?
The application protocol for Nayflee spray has an important preparation step that many pet parents miss:
-
Bathe your pet with a regular shampoo on Day 1 and allow the coat to dry completely
-
On Day 2, apply Nayflee spray ā the 24-hour gap after bathing ensures the sebaceous glands are fully active and ready to absorb and distribute the Fipronil effectively.
-
Part the fur against the direction of hair growth so the spray reaches the skin
-
Hold the bottle 10 to 20cm from your pet's body.
-
Apply at a rate of 3 to 6ml per kg of bodyweight ā approximately 5 to 10 pump sprays per kg
-
Spray evenly across the entire coat, including the neck, back, belly, legs, and tail
-
For the face and head, spray onto a gloved hand or cloth and apply carefully, avoiding the eyes, nose, and mouth
-
Allow to dry naturally ā do not towel dry or rinse off
-
Do not bathe your pet for at least 48 hours after application

FAQs
What is Intas Nayflee spray used for in dogs and cats?
Intas Nayflee spray kills and controls ticks, fleas, lice, and mites in dogs and cats using Fipronil 0.25% w/v. It provides residual protection by storing Fipronil in the sebaceous glands after application. It is one of the few tick and flea sprays in India confirmed safe for puppies and kittens under 8 weeks, and for pregnant and lactating pets.
How do you apply Nayflee fipronil spray correctly?
Bathe your pet on Day 1 and let the coat dry completely. On Day 2, apply the spray at 3 to 6ml per kg bodyweight ā around 5 to 10 pumps per kg ā evenly across the entire coat with the fur parted against the direction of growth. Do not rinse off. Keep your pet dry for 48 hours after application. The Day 1 bath is part of the protocol, not optional.
Is Nayflee spray safe for puppies, kittens, and pregnant pets?
Yes ā Nayflee spray is one of the few Fipronil sprays in India confirmed safe for puppies and kittens under 8 weeks of age, and for pregnant and lactating dogs and cats. Always follow the dosage and application instructions carefully. Apply in a well-ventilated area and prevent licking until the coat is fully dry. When in doubt about a very young or unwell animal, check with your vet first.
What is the difference between Nayflee spray and Nayflee Plus spot on?
Nayflee spray contains Fipronil only and kills adult fleas, ticks, lice, and mites on contact. Nayflee Plus spot on adds S-Methoprene, an Insect Growth Regulator that also kills flea eggs and larvae ā breaking the flea lifecycle. For pets with recurring flea problems or flea allergy dermatitis, Nayflee Plus provides broader protection. For very young animals under 8 weeks, where spot-ons are not yet suitable, Nayflee spray is the safer choice.
How often should I use Nayflee spray on my dog or cat?
Monthly application is the standard recommendation for ongoing tick and flea prevention. A single application provides residual protection for up to 4 weeks as Fipronil is released from the sebaceous glands onto the coat. During India's monsoon months, when tick and flea activity peaks, consistent monthly application without gaps gives the best protection. Always follow your vet's guidance on frequency.
