Vaquon is a veterinary antimicrobial/antiprotozoal medicine containing atovaquone, used in dogs and cats (and sometimes horses under vet guidance) for treatment and control of serious protozoal infections and certain respiratory conditions.

  • Composition :Ā  Atovaquone USP 250 mg per tablet
  • Excipients q.s.

Indications :

  • Babesiosis (Babesia gibsoni) – tick-borne protozoal infection in dogs
  • Pneumocystis pneumonia (Pneumocystis carinii)
  • Tick fever and other tick-associated protozoal diseases
  • Cytauxzoonosis (Cytauxzoon felis) in cats

Features :

  • Effective antiprotozoal action against key parasitic diseases in pets
  • Helps control clinical signs like fever, anemia, lethargy, and weakness related to babesiosis and similar infections
  • May improve overall health and recovery when used under veterinary guidance

Directions for Use:

  • Veterinary-only medicine — use only as directed by your veterinarian.

  • Typical dosing guideline (to be confirmed by vet):
    13.3 mg/kg body weight, orally, every 8 hours for ~10 days
